From Big Government:

James O Keefe exposes the Department of Commerce.

I really like Chris Christie

His response to liberal weenie Tom Moran here made me giggle in happiness.

This is a great video

A Time For Choosing

May 2, 2010

After the unfortunate conclusion to the health care debate (in case you’re under a rock, the bill passed), I stepped back and reflected for a while. My main reason was I wanted to figure out exactly how best to help deal with what was happening in front of us–it’s easy to identify the problem. The government is out of control, doing MANY things it shouldn’t be doing (regulating light bulbs and toilets, undermining states like Arizona trying to do the job they won’t do, attacking whatever area of the private sector that it dislikes at the moment, etc.) But what do I do? I’m just a guy.

Then I started reading two books that came out recently: Sean Hannity’s Conservative Victory and an even BETTER aide, Dick Morris’ 2010: Take Back America: A Battle Plan.

After reading and considering what’s happening, here’s what I’m advising what everyone who wants the country to change course to do:

1. Find out who your representative is in the U.S. House. I’m AMAZED how many people I talk to have no clue who represents them in Congress. It’s easy to figure out. Go to this website and enter your zip code+4. The person that comes up is your U.S. House representative. Congratulations.

2. Is your representative fighting against Nancy Pelosi’s agenda? Is he/she a Democrat? If he/she is worthy of support, support him! If he/she is NOT, if she’s a Democrat, figure out who’s running against him/her and support the opponent. You can contribute funds, volunteer time, use the social media. Contact the opponent’s campaign and ask what you can do. You’ll be surprised how happy people in campaigns will be to find anyone to be of help.

3. Repeat the process in the Senate. 1/3 of the Senate is up for re-election. Find out if your state has a U.S. Senate race (mine does, and I’m backing Richard Burr for re-election.) Find the most conservative alternative (if your Senator is a liberal) who has a legitimate chance for winning and SUPPORT him. Do it now. Primary season is upon us.

4. Don’t forget to register to vote. Lots of people forget that simple step.

5. Vote in the Republican primary. Find out when and where your precinct is and go vote! Support the most effective person possible to blunt the Obama-Pelosi-Reid agenda.

6. Adopt a candidate. If you live in Virginia or Maine or any state that doesn’t have a Senate race this year, find a candidate to support who you believe can best advance the cause of liberty. I’ll include a list of people I endorse here:

Pat Toomey (PA)
Marlin Stutzman (IN)
Chuck Devore (CA)
Marco Rubio (FL)
Danny Tarkanian (NV)
Rand Paul (KY)
Todd Tiahrt (KS)

I highly recommend getting either of the books referenced above. Both provide many in-depth ways to make a difference this fall.

Let’s get to work! :)

Tiki Barber’s Kind of a Jerk

April 8, 2010

This lesson keeps repeating itself over and over: Most athletes make terrible role models.

Enter Tiki Barber.

I’m sure he’s got his reasons, but dumping your 8-months-pregnant wife (with twins) for a 23 year old cupcake NBC intern doesn’t look good.

So Tiki’s a jerk. I really wish he wasn’t; I’m a Giants fan and was a fan of his for years.

I was also a fan of Pete Rose. Seems like I’ve been learning this lesson over and over again for twenty years.

Obama Defeated The American People Sunday

March 24, 2010

I’ve been sitting on this blog for a couple of days hoping my burning anger would abate.

It’s only intensified.

Yes, That Idiot Nancy Pelosi whipped her subordinate Democrats into submission Sunday, getting 219 of them to vote for the largest tax increase and the largest attack on liberty in generations, the Health Insurance Rationing Bill of 2010. Obama bribed Bart Stupak with $800,000 of our money to fund his airports, and most of his dozen pro lifers caved with him. So Health Care Rationing and Government Control passed by seven votes.

You’ve all heard the lies about this bill – how we’re going to insure 31 million new people, add no doctors, and magically lower the cost of care by up to $2500 per family. How thanks to Comrade Obama and Czarina Pelosi, we now have socialist utopia and nobody will ever get sick ever and we’ll have heaven on earth.

The lies about this bill, which we’re still trying to figure out, are covered here. I don’t want to hear any more Democrat talking points on this. It’s all a steaming pile of BS.

Now that Obama’s gotten his victory, I’m going to do everything in my power to punish every SINGLE congressional Democrat I can.

The 219 tyrants (THATS RIGHT I SAID IT) who voted for this attack on liberty are listed here. I am going to make it my number one life’s goal to do EVERYTHING I CAN to see to it that every last one of these jackasses are unemployed by November 5. I can’t WAIT.

This attack on freedom and liberty – this MASSIVE tax increase during the biggest economic downturn of our lifetime – CANNOT STAND.

If the sleeping giant wasn’t awakened after the Porkulus monstrosity, it’s had four cups of coffee now.

Most Americans hate this bill. And we WILL punish these tyrants at the ballot box as SOON as we can get to them.

We know our enemies. And they are STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF US.

Today’s Absurd Sports Story Of The Day

March 14, 2010

Pujols for Ryan Howard?

It’s never going to happen, but I find it amusing that ESPN is working its April Fools Day angle already

Just marvel at the beauty of this video

It’s posted elsewhere, but I felt like I had to post it myself.

I’d like to reiterate my thanks to Massachusetts for electing the man below to the US Senate.

Where Does It End?

March 10, 2010

The health care debate has been going on in America for over a year. Both houses of Congress (led by the most liberal of Democrats) have been haggling and twisting arms and shutting out the opposition for a YEAR.

In this long, endless, arduous process, they have spent virtually all of their political capital on one single issue.

Unfortunately, that issue involves the federal government taking control of 1/6 of the entire United States economy. The current plan (and it IS now Barack Obama’s plan) extends the tentacles of the ever-increasing federal bureaucracy and, if passed, will forever change the relationship between the American citizen and its government.

Why? Because if the government controls people’s access to medicine, how can citizens ever speak out against it without fearing medicinal retaliation? (“Are you SURE you want to protest this new law? I’d HATE for your mom to lose her chance at a lung transplant, so maybe you better just stay quiet…”)

Because of the fundamental change I just described and many other reasons (including abortion funding and the unconstitutional requirement that every American purchase a government-approved health insurance policy) most Americans (between 60 percent and 75 percent, depending on the poll) oppose this measure.

But Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are still trying to force this plan through.

Why would politicians who serve at the public’s pleasure do something the public so loudly opposes? I believe it is because Obama cares more about his ideology than he does about the future of his Presidency.

As he stated in January of 2009, he’d rather be a one term President who transformed the nation than a two term President who had a Clintonian deal-making legacy. (I’m paraphrasing.)

He and his minions care more about extending the tentacles of government, of regulating every aspect of our lives, than anything else. In order to have this belief system, I believe he must despise us and despise our society.

And I’m sick of him and his party. Because even if we gave him EVERYTHING he wanted, even if we went to a single payer system, even if we regulated energy to the point where we all either froze or melted, even if we gave him and his PIGLIKE, EVER EXPANDING SOW OF A BUREAUCRACY everything their (small) hearts desired, in a few weeks they’d come back for more.

WHERE is this going to end, liberals? At what point are people still going to be free? When will you jackasses leave us alone?

And while you’re pondering the answer to that question, we are going to vote your asses out in November in a landslide of BIBLICAL proportions.

I’m not angry. I’m motivated. And I’m going to do everything I can to make sure that these anti-freedom statists lose power.

We freedom-loving people have no choice but to fight.

A blunt-spoken, necessary speech by Gov. Chris Christie

March 3, 2010

Go here for a very plain-yet-riveting speech by New Jersey’s new governor. We need more people in charge like this guy.
